How Does Paws & Claws Work?

Paws & Claws provides a variety of services for your pet with the added convenience of a house call. When you call to schedule an appointment, you will speak with a friendly, knowledgeable veterinary assistant who will gladly answer any questions you may have. Since we are mobile, the appointment times are offered in a 15 to 30 minute window, to allow for possible delays such as traffic or behind schedule. If this occurs, we will certainly call to notify you. We arrive at your home in the schedule time-window ready to care for your pets. Most patients are seen in our fully-equipped clinic, but we can see the pet in your yard or home if necessary. You may choose to be present during the exam, or if you need to remain in your home for any reason, Dr. Carithers and staff will complete the exam and bring your pet right back to your door.

Paws & Claws makes daytime house calls, by appointment Monday through Friday. Since we see patients by appointment, we may not be immediately available in the event of an emergency. We try our best to adjust our schedule to accommodate any daytime emergencies, but we may be on the opposite side of town and it may be difficult for us to arrive immediately. In such a situation, Dr. Carithers will refer patients to another local animal hospital so that it may receive immediate care. Dr. Carithers will also refer patients when a radiograph (x-ray) is needed.
